You will find a wonderful breath initiated practice when practicing Vinyasa Yoga in Playa del Carmen. It connects every action of our life with the intention of moving towards what is sacred or important to us. The word “vinyasa” can be translated as “arranging something in a special way”. A yoga poses (Asanas) for example. In vinyasa yoga classes, students coordinate movement with breath to flow from one pose to the next. Vinyasa classes offer a variety of postures and each classes are different. Vinyasa Yoga helps to develop a more balanced body as well as prevent repetitive motion injuries that can happen if you are always doing the same thing every day. As a philosophy, Vinyasa recognizes the temporary nature of things. We enter into a posture, are there for a while and then leave. Instructor: David Campos
This class starts with few sequences of Vinyasa, followed by a slower session, involving props and ropes. Sequence typically involves poses held for 5 minutes or more, including light twists, seated forward folds, and gentle backbends, using the props and ropes in the studio. During the long holds, your muscles are allowed to relax deeply, stretching your spine fully, because props, rather than your muscles, are used to support your body.
